JASMINE RICE / NANG HOA
Jasmine rice is a fragrant, soft and sticky rice variety with a short growing cycle (also known as short-duration rice). Jasmine rice is currently cultivated extensively, occupying the largest area of the total rice-growing area and delivering high yields and value. The rice is grown from Jasmine 85 (IR 841-85 hybrid line), selectively bred by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI). It was introduced into Vietnam in 1992 and is widely produced in the provinces of the Mekong Delta. When cooked, the grains are soft, sticky and lightly fragrant, making for a delicious meal.View specifications ↓
