Quality control steps from raw material to delivery.

The process begins with receiving raw cashew nuts, followed by sun drying to stabilize moisture before storage. This step ensures raw material quality and prepares nuts for further processing. Long Son operates a large-scale network of 10 factories across Vietnam, supporting its export operations.

Raw cashews are sieved and roasted to prepare for shell removal. They then go through mechanical shelling, where the outer shell is separated from the kernel with minimal damage.
The production flow includes metal detection after grading and fumigation and before final packaging. Long Son's certified processing scope also identifies metal detection and, for certain facilities, metal-fragment and X-ray screening as part of the applicable processes.

Long Son operates 10 factories/companies across Vietnam, with processing locations spanning Binh Phuoc, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Ninh Thuan, Gia Lai, Long An, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City. This multi-location production network provides significant processing and sourcing capacity.
Long Son states that its cashew products are exported to more than 40 countries worldwide, supplying international supermarkets and roasters as well as other customers.
Long Son's published production flow covers the complete chain from raw-nut reception and drying to shelling, peeling, grading, fumigation, metal detection and vacuum packing. This integrated sequence allows quality controls to be incorporated at multiple stages rather than relying only on final inspection.
Long Son publishes the AFI cashew-kernel standard on its website, including requirements for quality, moisture, grading, packaging and shipment inspection. The company also maintains multiple food-safety and market certifications, including ISO 22000:2018, BRC, HALAL, Kosher, FSMA and organic certifications for EU, USDA-NOP and JAS markets.
Long Son reports more than 3,000 employees, approximately USD 50 million in working capital and assets, and USD 220 million in annual turnover in 2022. These figures demonstrate the company's substantial scale within Vietnam's cashew-processing industry.

Kernels are sorted by size and quality according to AFI standards (moisture 3–5%, grades 180–450). After grading, they go through fumigation and metal detection to ensure safety before packing.

Finished kernels are vacuum packed and then packed into cartons for export. This final step ensures product protection during storage and international shipping, using clean and standardized packaging materials.
