ORICO was established in 2013 and is a joint venture between Vietnam Northern Food Corporation (Vinafood 1), one of the largest rice exporters in Vietnam with an average annual output of 1 million tons of rice, and Louis Dreyfus Company, a world-leading merchant and processor of agricultural commodities with annual sales of USD 70 billion and a rice trading volume of over 3 million tons per year. The company was founded with the goal of directly producing and exporting Vietnamese rice to the global market.

The company operates a rice-processing facility covering approximately 43,000 m², with a production capacity of around 1,800 tons per day. This enables ORICO to support regular commercial orders and large-volume export programs.

Quality control steps from raw material to delivery.
Paddy and rice materials are sourced from selected growing regions and qualified supply partners. Raw materials are selected according to rice variety, crop quality, moisture, purity, and customer specifications.
Incoming materials are checked for moisture, odor, varietal consistency, foreign matter, damaged grains, and visible contamination. Materials that do not meet the required standards are separated before processing.
The raw materials are cleaned to remove straw, dust, stones, husks, and other impurities. Paddy is then dehusked, milled, and whitened according to the required rice grade.
Rice may be polished to improve its surface appearance and consistency. Sorting equipment is used to remove discolored, damaged, chalky, or inconsistent grains before final grading.
Finished rice is graded according to grain length, broken percentage, moisture, purity, foreign matter, damaged kernels, and milling degree. Each batch is checked against the buyer’s confirmed specifications.
Approved rice is weighed and packed in PP, laminated BOPP, PA/PE, or customized bags. Each shipment is inspected, labeled, stored, and prepared with the necessary commercial and export documents before delivery.
